Zaramo (?) Maternity figure Tanzania |
23" tall A really wonderful figure of a mother and child from Tanzania. I love how the child is facing the mother and how their arms form a circle. I believe it is Zaramo, but I'm still trying to do more research to narrow it down. Art from Eastern Africa is less documented than the art from Western and Central Africa, so it's harder to research when you're trying to identify an object that doesn't fall in line with the well known types of objects from this region.
